What room types are available at Sea World Resort and how many guests do they sleep?
Sea World Resort offers a range of room types designed to suit different family sizes and travel needs.
Room options include:
Coastal Rooms Two double or queen beds, sleeps up to four. Private balcony or patio, 55-inch Smart TV, free Wi-Fi, contemporary bathroom.
Water View Rooms Queen and double configurations, sleeps up to five. Private balcony with Broadwater views.
Suites Generous living space with separate sleeping areas, ideal for those wanting more room to spread out.
Interconnecting Rooms Available for families or groups who would like multiple rooms connected internally. Please contact reservations to arrange availability.
Have the rooms been updated recently?
Yes. Sea World Resort has completed refurbishment works to its Coastal Rooms, introducing coastal-inspired décor, updated bathroom fittings, refreshed bedding, and contemporary finishes.
Is there enough space for larger families or extended family groups?
Yes. Beyond standard Coastal Rooms (which sleep four), we offer Suites with additional living space, Water View Rooms sleeping up to five, and interconnecting room arrangements for extended families or groups. Please contact our reservations team directly to discuss your configuration.
Can I request a quiet room location?
Sea World Resort is a family-focused resort environment, and some ambient activity may occur throughout the day.
Guests who prefer quieter locations can request:

Locations away from the pool precinct
Requests can be made when booking, and the reservations team will assist where possible, subject to availability.
Do rooms include a fridge?
Yes. All rooms include a compact minibar fridge suitable for storing everyday items during your stay.
Portable electric fridges and eskies are not permitted in guest rooms. Guests with special storage needs, such as medication, are encouraged to contact the resort prior to arrival.
Are accessible rooms available for guests with mobility requirements?
Yes. Accessible rooms are available at Sea World Resort.
Please contact our reservations team on 133 386 before booking to discuss your specific requirements and we will do our best to accommodate you. We recommend giving as much notice as possible, as accessible rooms are subject to availability.
Can I request a cot or baby facilities?
Yes. Cots are available on request.
Please advise the reservations team at the time of booking so arrangements can be made prior to arrival.
Note that if a fifth guest in a room is an infant, an additional fee of $25 per night applies (including the cot). Theme park entry is complimentary for children aged 2 and under.
Do you offer an industry rate?
Industry discounts are available to select Industry employees upon meeting certain criteria, please apply online here. If your request is approved, you will need to show proof of employment (a business card or letter from employer) plus photographic ID.

Sea World Resort offers several dining venues catering to different occasions and preferences.
Dining options include:
Shoreline - serving buffet breakfast and buffet dinner curated with dishes for everyone.
Hatsuhana - signature Japanese teppanyaki restaurant. The live cooking theatre is very popular with families and children. Bookings recommended.
Melrose Italian - Serving up delicious Italian cuisine plus coffee and grab-and-go breakfast options in the morning.
Sun Lounge - meals and snacks throughout the day in a relaxed setting.
Waterfall Café - poolside bites and quick family meals.
Room service is available during limited hours.
Can dietary requirements be accommodated?
Yes. Dining venues at Sea World Resort can accommodate a range of dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
Guests are encouraged to advise their requirements at the time of booking or on arrival so the team can assist.
What does the breakfast buffet include?
The daily breakfast buffet includes a variety of hot and cold options designed to suit both adults and children. Guests can enjoy fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, pastries and breads, along with hot favourites such as eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, pancakes and more. Juice, tea and coffee are also included, with barista-made coffee and specialty drinks available to purchase.
Breakfast is included in many accommodation packages. Guests should refer to their booking confirmation to confirm inclusions.

Where is Sea World Resort located?
Sea World Resort is located on Seaworld Drive, Main Beach on the Gold Coast, directly adjacent to Sea World marine park.
The Gold Coast is in the south-east corner of Queensland, a popular holiday destination known for its beaches, theme parks, shopping, dining, and hinterland. It has its own international and domestic airport, and Brisbane’s airports are approximately 1.5 hours away by road. Find directions at here.
What beaches are near Sea World Resort?
The Gold Coast is home to 57 kilometres of beautiful coastline. Main Beach is the closest beach to Sea World Resort, just minutes away. Other popular beaches within easy reach include Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Burleigh Heads, and Coolangatta. The Gold Coast is recognised for some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches.
Is parking available at Sea World Resort?
Limited on-site parking is available at Sea World Resort. Overflow parking is available at no cost on Sea World Drive, and additional parking is available at Sea World marine park. Additional vehicles will need to be self-parked on Sea World Drive. Please see the concierge team on arrival for assistance.
Please note, we do not have undercover parking.
What is the cost for valet parking?
$20 per day limited availability.
Is there trailer parking available?
Trailer parking is available on Sea World drive not within the resort car park (this refers to caravans, boats, jet skis, etc).
What disabled parking options are available?

What should I do if the resort car park is full?
Guests are welcome to unload any luggage or passengers at the resort entrance prior to parking on the street if the carpark is full.
How do I get to Sea World Resort by public transport?
The Gold Coast is accessible by road, rail, and air. For public transport options to Sea World Resort, visit the official TransLink website (translink.com.au) or call TransInfo on 13 12 30. You can also arrange a theme park transfer through Con-X-ion. Bus route 705 runs directly to Sea World from Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach approximately every 20 minutes.
What is the weather like on the Gold Coast?
The Gold Coast has a warm subtropical climate.

Theme Park Entry & Tickets
What are the age categories for theme park entry?
For accommodation packages that include theme park entry, age categories are:
Infants (0–2 years) — free entry
Children (3–13 years) — child rate
Adults (14 years and over) — adult rate
Children aged 2 years and under receive complimentary theme park entry when included in accommodation packages.
Which theme parks can be included in an accommodation package?

Yes. Theme park tickets can be purchased at Sea World Resort reception if they are not already included in your accommodation package.

What should I do if I lose something during my stay?
Lost items should be reported to Sea World Resort reception as soon as possible.
If an item is lost within Sea World marine park rather than the resort, guests should contact Sea World Guest Services directly at (07) 5588 2178. We will do our best to help locate lost items.
My question isn’t answered here. What should I do?

Does my accommodation package include theme park entry?

Can I change or cancel my booking if my plans change?
Yes. Sea World Resort offers different rate categories. Some include flexibility to change your dates, subject to availability. Package rates (which offer the best per-night value) require full prepayment but allow date changes within the sell period. If flexibility is important to you, discuss rate options with our reservations team when booking so they can recommend the best fit for your situation.
What if I have a fifth guest or infant staying?
Standard packages are valid for four guests in a Resort Double Room. If you wish to add a fifth guest (of any age), you will need to upgrade to a Queen room if not already booked in one. An additional nightly fee applies, which includes unlimited theme park entry for that guest (where applicable). If the fifth guest is an infant, the additional cost is $25 per night including a cot. Theme park entry is complimentary for children aged 2 and under.
Are there any accommodation deals or specials available?

Is Sea World Resort suitable for families with young children?
Yes. Sea World Resort is designed with families in mind.
The direct walking access to Sea World means no car, no parking, no lengthy travel. Kids aged 2 and under enter the parks for free. Morning character meets at 9:30am are a highlight for young children, and the SplashBash aquatic playground is designed with younger kids in mind. Being just steps from your room also makes nap times far less stressful.
What pool and spa facilities are available at the resort?
Sea World Resort features several water-based facilities for guests.

Pool towels are available for collection from the towel hut beside the pool or from Concierge, and ice buckets can be filled by the team at the Sun Lounge.
Can we celebrate a birthday or special occasion at the resort?
Yes. Sea World Resort is a popular choice for Gold Coast birthday celebrations and family special occasions.
Guest services can assist with special arrangements, including room enhancements and dining bookings. Hatsuhana teppanyaki restaurant is a popular venue for group celebrations.
Check-In & Check-Out
What time is check-in and check-out?
Standard check-in time is from 3:00pm, and check-out is by 10:00am.
Early check-in and late check-out may be available on request, subject to room availability. Please speak with reception on arrival or contact us in advance.
Tip: If you arrive before 3:00pm, the concierge team can store your luggage so you can head straight to Sea World while your room is being prepared.
Can I check in online before arriving?
Yes. Online check-in is available from three days before your arrival and closes at 3:00pm on the day of arrival.
Complete check-in on our website with your reservation details, and you’ll receive a notification when your room is ready for key collection from reception. If your package includes theme park access, tickets will be sent to you in advance so you can head straight to the park.

What identification do I need on arrival?
Valid government-issued photo identification must be presented at check-in. Please ensure the name on your ID matches your reservation. Failure to provide valid ID may result in the booking being cancelled.
Is a credit card or deposit required at check-in?
Yes. A credit card pre-authorisation of $50 per night of stay is required at check-in to enable room charging. When the limit is reached, charges must be settled before further room charges can be applied. Cash-paying guests must provide a $200 refundable deposit on arrival, which is returned on departure subject to room inspection. Note that room charging is not available for cash-paying guests. The credit card used must be in the name of the person on the reservation.

We have 3 disabled rooms with an open shower and handrails which also interconnect with a Resort Room. The Resort can also hire additional equipment. Fees apply. All facilities within the Resort are wheelchair accessible.
